The Citizens Research Council of Michigan and MIRS News Service provided a webinar to review Governor Whitmer’s proposed FY2024-25 budget.

While the state has tapped most of the massive $9 billion budget surplus that was at its disposal last February, analysis of January’s revised revenue estimates reveals substantial one-time and ongoing revenue resources remain available, especially for the General Fund. We will examined how the governor’s proposal programs these resources across key functions of state government.
