2021 Public Policy Event Honored the Honorable Dennis Archer Sr. and had Keynote Discussion of Electric Vehicles

Where:

Virtual and at the Motor City Casino

On October 7, 2021, the Research Council hosted our Annual Public Policy Event at Motor City Casino in Detroit. The program was also streamed virtually so participants could watch at home. We honored the Honorable Mayor Dennis Archer with the Eugene A. Gargaro, Jr. Public Service Award. We heard from U.S. Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm, and her synopsis of the Biden administration’s priorities for national infrastructure and electrification, specifically as it relates to Michigan. This was followed by a panel discussion of local Michigan experts on Electric Vehicles and Infrastructure.

  2) DV Rao, Senior VP, Strategy, Consumers Energy

  3) Paul Ajegba, Director of Michigan Department of Transportation

  4) Trevor Pawl, Michigan’s Chief Mobility Officer
