2022 Public Policy Event honored Kelly Rossman-McKinney, In memoriam

Citizens Research Council honored legendary trailblazer, CRC board member Kelly Rossman-McKinney at 2022 Annual Public Policy Dinner. Rossman-McKinney was a Michigan public relations legend who was known for her bipartisan work and tenacity. She was posthumously honored with the Eugene A. Gargaro, Jr. Public Service Award on September 21, 2022 at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.

Alex Rossman accepted the award on behalf of his mother. After dinner and presentation of the award, we heard from a panel of women leaders in Michigan, many of whom were mentees or close friends of Kelly.

Panelists included:

  • Kathleen Wilbur, Michigan State University
  • Megan Brown, Consumers Energy
  • Rachael Eubanks, Michigan State Treasurer
  • Moderated by Carol Cain, Detroit Free Press & CBS Detroit

The event was well attended and a joyous occasion. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Founded in 1916, the Citizens Research Council of Michigan works to improve government in Michigan. The organization provides factual, unbiased, independent information concerning significant issues of state and local government organization, policy, and finance.
