2024 Research Agenda Idea Solicitation

Where:

Michigan Association of Counties
Capital Tower
110 W Michigan Ave, Suite 200
Lansing, MI 48933

Each December, the Directors of the Citizens Research Council identify potential relevant public policy topics to place on our research agenda for the next year. These are state and local policy issues that would benefit from our independent, non-partisan approach to research and analysis. We usually kick off this session by fleshing out ideas that were brought to me by others over the course of the year.

With that in mind, I would like to invite you to join me at a brainstorming session, with other association leaders, to explore research themes that you feel are pressing and important. My hope is that together we can explore topics which have far-reaching impact on Michigan residents through improved public policy.

This one-hour meeting will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023.  Steve Currie, a member of my Board of Directors, has offered to host the event at the Michigan Association of Counties office at 110 W. Michigan Ave, Suite 200 in Lansing. We hope you are able to participate in the discussion. I would like to take your ideas to the full Board of Directors in December. Please RSVP today and let us know if you will be able to join us.
