Stephanie recently joined the Citizens Research Council as a Research Associate focusing on policy issues within the City of Detroit. Previously, Stephanie served as director of regional relations at DTE Energy, working statewide with local government officials on both local government and utility issues. Stephanie also spent time at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan working on healthcare policy issues during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
Stephanie recently earned her master’s in public administration from Wayne State University and continues her education in pursuit of her PhD in public policy and American government. She earned a master’s in communication management from the Newhouse School for Public Communication at Syracuse University, an MBA with a focus in management from Walsh College, and holds a bachelor of applied arts degree in integrative public relations from Central Michigan University.
Stephanie is Accredited in Public Relations (APR), an industry distinction from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and is an adjunct instructor at Michigan State, Oakland and Cleary Universities, teaching in the business and communications disciplines.
