Preparing the Workforce of Today and Tomorrow

Leader’s Issue Forum
Preparing the Workforce of Today and Tomorrow

Michigan needs workers capable of being part of the workforce of today and in the future. Every year our high schools are graduating students capable of becoming those workers. Colleges are tailoring their offerings to meet the needs of the workforce. And workers are getting retrained to gain new skills. A panel of experts will discuss programs in place to enhance the job readiness of Michigan residents by providing opportunity for either career technology training or preparing them for comprehensive and transferable college degrees.
A panel of individuals with varying perspectives has been invited. The panel will take questions from the moderator and the audience to share perspectives and ideas in a conversational format.
When: May 17, 2018 from 11:30 am to 1:30 am
Where:
Michigan Chamber of Commerce offices
600 S. Walnut Street
Lansing, MI 48933
Hosts: Citizens Research Council of Michigan
Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS)
Michigan Chamber Foundation

Lunch will be served
