Each December, the Directors of the Citizens Research Council identify potential relevant public policy topics to place on our research agenda for the next year. These are state and local policy issues that would benefit from our independent, non-partisan approach to research and analysis. We usually kick off this session by fleshing out ideas that were brought to by others over the course of the year.
With that in mind, we invite you to join us at a brainstorming session, with other association leaders, to explore research themes that you feel are pressing and important. Our hope is that together we can explore topics which have far-reaching impact on Michigan residents through improved public policy.
This one-hour meeting will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025. Steve Currie, a member of the Board of Directors, will host the event at the Michigan Association of Counties office in Lansing. We hope you are able to participate in the discussion. We would like to take your ideas to the full Board of Directors in December. Please RSVP today and let us know if you will be able to join us.
